Eric Reese, CPD, GPD is the ASPE Pittsburgh Chapter Vice President, Technical and has 35 years of experience in plumbing and fire protection systems design, specification writing and construction administration. Locally Eric has worked for Baker and Associates, Dodson Engineering and Astorino. He is currently an Associate Vice President at CannonDesign and the Plumbing Discipline Leader for their Pittsburgh office. His experience includes work on commercial buildings, correctional facilities, healthcare facilities, nursing homes and primary and secondary educational facilities. Eric has been a member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers and active member of the Pittsburgh Chapter since 2010. He has previously served as the Pittsburgh’s President and a chapter delegate at several ASPE conventions since 2016.

Donald R. Ditter, CPD, GPD is the current ASPE Pittsburgh Chapter President. Don has been a member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers and the Pittsburgh chapter since 1993. He has over 35 years of experience in plumbing/fire protection drafting and design, specification preparation and construction administration. He also has sat on the ASPE national education committee since 2019 helping develop the educational platform for Society. Don also has served as a chapter delegate at several ASPE conventions. A few notable projects that he has been involved in are the PPG Paints Arena, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, SCI Laurel Highlands, AHN West Penn Radiology and many more.

Jerome Valenti, P.E., CPD is the current ASPE Pittsburgh Chapter Vice President, Legislative. Jerry has served in this roll for the chapter for many of years and is the current liaison with the local Allegheny County Health Department Plumbing Division. Jerry attends and is active in the local plumbing advisory board meetings and has served as a voice for the ASPE Community of several occasions. Jerry has also has served as a chapter delegate at several past ASPE conventions.

Tom Taylor, CET, CPD, was recently elected as the Historian for the Pittsburgh Chapter of ASPE. Tom first joined ASPE in June of 1981 and is a Charter member of the Pittsburgh Chapter. Helping to secure the Chapter Charter in April of 1983, he served as the chapters founding Administrative Secretary. Mr. Taylor went on to serve as Chapter President in the years 1989 to 1991 and has held every chapter officer position – except for Treasurer. Tom earned his CIPE – now known as CPD - during the very first testing cycle in 1983, and subsequently in 1989 earned his CET with a NICET Level 3 certification in Water Based Fire Protection Engineering Technology. Tom’s 39-year engineering career started in 1979 at Gumpf Engineering and followed to work with Peter F Loftus div. of Eichleay Engineers; Michael Baker Jr. Engineers; Burt, Hill, Kosar & Rittelmann; Allen & Shariff Engineering and and is currently retired. Some of Tom’s major projects include The Greater Pittsburgh Airport Landside and Central Services buildings, Dulles Airport Terminal B, the Dick’s Sporting Goods Corporate Headquarters, and renovations to 25 floors of the USX Tower for UPMC.

Corey Bierer is the ASPE Pittsburgh Chapter Vice President, Education and started with the Pittsburgh ASPE chapter in 2016. He has held multiple board positions as President, Newsletter editor and Vice President, Technical. He graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Corey is currently a Mechanical Engineer with the H.F. Lenz Company in their Pittsburgh Office. He holds responsibilities for drawing and specification preparation as well as construction administration. Areas of experience include hospitals/outpatient centers, primary and secondary education, and office buildings. In his spare time, Corey enjoys golf, bowling, fly fishing and spending time with family.

Claire Weiland is the ASPE Pittsburgh Chapter AYP Liaison and has been a member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) Pittsburgh Chapter since 2026. She joined Highland Tank & Manufacturing in October 2025 and currently serves as the Grease Product Specialist (aka Grease Girl), where she supports engineers and contractors with grease interceptor solutions.
Claire covers a broad territory including Chicago, Indiana, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, and Georgia. She is new to her role and is excited to continue learning and growing within the industry. |

Jason is the ASPE Pittsburgh Affiliate Liaison. Jason joined J.B. O'Connor in 2020 and brings 15 years of experience in the plumbing and industrial industry to JBO. He lives in the McDonald area with his wife, new son CJ, and their two Boston Terrier pups. He enjoys golfing, running, cooking, and camping with the family in his free time.

Kaziah Marshall

Kaziah Marshall is the ASPE Pittsburgh chapter WOA Liaison and has been an active member of the American Society of Plumbing Engineers since 2021. She has been a part of the MEP industry since 2019. Currently, Kaziah works for Iams Consulting, designing plumbing & fire protection systems for commercial, educational, religious, residential, & retail buildings. Her experiences include the design of plumbing systems in compliance with the Americans with disabilities act, coordination of site utilities with the utility providers, and service entrance design for domestic water, sanitary, sewage, & gas. Distribution piping and fixtures selection. Design fire protection systems including, fire water service entrance and coordination with local utilities. Wet & dry piping services. Piping design and sprinkler head locations for light, ordinate, & hazardous use groups.
